{July 2006} : MAKING/MAPPING

I'm currently wrapping up several projects that I have been working on over the summer. They should be posted soon. I bought a Garmin eTrex Vista GPS device and have been experimenting with it and ways of utilizing the data obtained.

{January 2006} : PROGRAMMING HELL

Processing: I am currently experimenting with Processing in order to expand my own knowledge of programming and to possibly use this software as a step in teaching my students ActionScript in the Fall of 2006.

CSS: Tables are history, or should be (face it, they'll be around quite a bit longer though...). Never-the-less, I'm pushing myself to use CSS and learn what I can do with it to create effective design without always resorting to Flash.

Flash/ActionScript: Despite the above paragraph, Flash is too irresistable to ignore and not use when the opportunity presents itself. There is always much more to learn here. Just upgraded to Flash 8...

On a cold wintery day this past December, my wife and I decided to take a walk over to my former Army barracks in Schwabach, Germany. I discovered that the building I use to live in (1989-1991) is now a hole in the ground, and that part of the former O'Brien Barracks will now be called O'Brien Park. "Make subdivisions, not war" I guess? This once again proves that you can never go back.
